Health tracking
High blood pressure and diabetes often have no symptoms — regular checks catch them early.
How to get an accurate reading
- Sit quietly for 5 minutes first, back supported, feet flat, arm resting at heart level.
- No tea, coffee, cigarettes or exercise in the 30 minutes before.
- Take two readings a minute apart and record the second.
- Measure in the morning (before medicines) and evening for 7 days before a clinic visit.
